Seminar Description

This web seminar presents a 17-step procedure for determination of roof snow loads in accordance with ASCE 7-16 provisions. The step-by-step procedure covers balanced, unbalanced, minimum, drift, sliding and partial snow loads, as well as rain-on-snow and ice dam surcharge loads. The web seminar will concentrate on the proper application of the provisions – the “what and how”. The theory (the “why”) will be discussed briefly. Roof geometries specifically covered by the ASCE 7 provisions will be discussed and an example will be presented. Additionally there will be three Q & A periods.

The views and opinions expressed in this seminar are those of the speaker(s) and do not necessarily reflect those held by S. K. Ghosh Associates LLC.
