Often one of the first questions asked about a new edition of the IBC is which referenced standards have been updated. Although there are many structural standards referenced in the code, here is a list of what we think are the most “frequently-used” structural standards referenced in Chapter 35 with the corresponding edition referenced in the 2012 IBC and the 2015 IBC. Please note that by ICC’s rules, the updated standard referenced in the 2015 IBC does not have to be available to the public until December 1, 2014.
