Description:
Anchor Pro is an easy-to-use computer program to calculate the tensile and shear strengths of a single anchor or a group of anchors in masonry in accordance with the provisions of the 2005 and 2008 editions of the Building Code Requirements for Masonry Structures, which are referenced by the 2006 and 2009 editions of the International Building Code (IBC) Chapter 21, respectively. Headed or bent bar anchors designed by ASD or Strength Design are supported. Through a simple and intuitive interface, it only takes a few minutes to input all the necessary information for the program to calculate the strengths of a single anchor or a group of anchors in all applicable tensile and shear failure modes. Users can quickly check a short version of the output to get final results or they can go through a descriptive, long version of the output to go through the critical steps of calculation in order to have a better understanding of different failure mechanisms. It is an ideal tool for doing quick iterations for design purposes as well as computing the design strength of existing anchor(s).
