Pro (Prabuddha) Dasgupta, Ph.D., P.E.

Pro Dasgupta is a registered civil engineer in the State of California. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2005. He has been with S. K. Ghosh Associates Inc. in Palatine, IL for seven years and has been actively engaged in building code interpretation and development of code support literature. He has co-authored a number of publications including Seismic Design Using Structural Dynamics (2015 IBC/ASCE 7-10/ACI 318-14), Significant Changes to the Seismic Load Provisions of ASCE 7-10: An Illustrated Guide and 2009 IBC Seismic and Wind Design of Concrete Buildings. He is also the developer of two computer programs – Quick Anchor, for the calculation of anchor strength in accordance with Appendix D of ACI 318, and Anchor Pro, for the calculation of anchor strength in accordance with ACI 530.
