Speaker Bio

David Bonowitz is a structural engineer in San Francisco. He chairs the Resilience committee of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations, developing policy positions, regulations, and engineering best practices with leading NGOs and local governments around the country. From 2007 to 2017 he chaired NCSEA’s Existing Buildings committee, through which he developed and coordinated building code changes on behalf of the nationwide engineering community.
